Kid Cudi brings Basquiat to the big screen

Kid Cudi is preparing a new tribute to Jean-Michel Basquiat by taking on the role of the artist in Jean, a feature film he will also write and direct. The American musician and actor has shared the first images from early costume and make-up tests, featuring a look inspired by the New York artist. Filming is scheduled to begin in 2027.

The project has a personal significance for Cudi. He has spoken about Basquiat’s influence on his career and, after years of being encouraged to portray him without a film ever coming to fruition, decided to write the screenplay himself. His research has included books on Basquiat’s life and conversations with people who knew him. Through Jean, Cudi hopes to capture not only the artist himself but also the cultural energy of 1980s New York, where art, music and urban culture converged to reshape the creative landscape.

JW Anderson transforms its flagship into an art gallery

During Frieze Week, JW Anderson turns its flagship store on Pimlico Road in London into the setting for A Composition, an exhibition bringing together fashion, craftsmanship and contemporary art. At its centre is an installation by Welsh artist Cerith Wyn Evans, featuring 30 hand-blown glass wind chimes that respond to light, sound and visitors’ movements, transforming the experience of moving through the boutique.

The exhibition also features ceramic vessels by Akiko Hirai, paintings by Mary Stephenson and sculptures by Shawanda Corbett, selected by Jonathan Anderson to sit alongside the store’s garments and objects. Presented in collaboration with The Platinum Card from American Express, A Composition explores a different way of engaging with art, bringing the gallery experience into spaces that form part of everyday life. The exhibition closes today in London.

Miu Miu brings contemporary art to the Palais d’Iéna

Miu Miu joins the public programme of Art Basel Paris 2026 with Geste de Consolation, a multidisciplinary exhibition curated by French filmmaker Alice Diop at the Palais d’Iéna. Invited by Miuccia Prada, Diop brings together poetry, photography, sculpture, music and dance in an exploration of historical representations of identity, racial imagery and the stereotypes that have shaped the portrayal of women since the colonial era. The exhibition features works by contemporary artists, including Simone Leigh and Zanele Muholi.

The project builds on Diop’s relationship with the maison, which began with Fragments for Venus, her 2025 short film for the Miu Miu Women’s Tales series. The exhibition closes this Sunday, 25 October, with free admission, final guided readings and live performances by the musical collective Sistazz of the Nitty Gritty. Through this initiative, Miu Miu extends its cultural dialogue beyond fashion, creating space to question how images are constructed, who shapes…

A wide-angle photograph of the interior of the Palais d’Iéna in Paris, transformed into an intimate reading room and exhibition space with dim, warm lighting. The floor is covered with a geometric carpet featuring color blocks of muted purple, olive green, dark red, and beige. Scattered throughout the hall are elongated upholstered benches in vibrant purple, black, and deep red tones, each paired with a square wooden side table holding a small illuminated desk lamp that provides focal light. In the background, modern backlit metal bookshelves filled with books are visible, surrounded by the building's imposing fluted concrete columns and heavy dark velvet drapery

At the Grand Palais, Louis Vuitton presents the bags alongside the original artworks that inspired their designs, including works by Takashi Murakami and Yayoi Kusama.

UGG and Kith rework the Tasman

UGG and Kith have joined forces to reinterpret one of the most recognisable styles in comfort footwear. The new UGG Tasman Woven replaces the clog’s familiar smooth upper with interwoven suede panels, adding depth and a more crafted look while retaining its sheepskin lining and easy slip-on design.

The collaboration comes in three colours: Chestnut, Black and Forest Night, a deep olive green. The silhouette also retains its lightweight sugarcane-based sole and the braided details that define the original style. With this edition, the two brands bring a comfort staple closer to the world of luxury leather goods, where texture takes centre stage alongside form.

Roberto Coin brings back Cobra for its 30th anniversary

To mark its 30th anniversary, Italian jewellery house Roberto Coin revisits Cobra, a collection first introduced in the 1990s. The line returns with updated proportions and new material combinations, reinterpreting the serpent in 18-carat yellow gold, with enamel or ceramic details and diamonds.

Beyond its sculptural form, Cobra stands out for its articulated construction, allowing each piece to move naturally with the body. Every design also retains the house’s signature hidden ruby, associated with wishes of love, good fortune and prosperity. The collection is a reminder of how fine jewellery can turn a familiar symbol into a piece to wear beyond special occasions.

Jean-Charles de Castelbajac reimagines Christmas at Galeries Lafayette

Galeries Lafayette Haussmann has appointed Jean-Charles de Castelbajac as the artistic director of its 2026 Christmas celebrations, themed Au cœur de Noël. From November 12, the French designer will transform the windows along Boulevard Haussmann, the façade and the interior of the historic Parisian department store into a world of vibrant colours, fantastical characters and childhood references. Developed over more than a year, the project embraces hands-on craftsmanship, using collage, cardboard and felt to bring his artistic universe to life on a monumental scale.

Beneath the store’s iconic dome, the traditional Christmas tree will take on a sculptural form inspired by wings, envisioned as a protective figure and accompanied by a light and music show. The project also includes new collections and collaborations that bring his graphic motifs to seasonal objects and pieces. It further revives a creative relationship dating back to 1980, when Galeries Lafayette first invited the designer…

Nike turns an airport runway into a running track

On October 17, Nike brought its After Dark Tour to London for a 10K night race that turned the Royal Docks into an unexpected sporting venue. Starting and finishing at Silverworks Island, the route included a stretch of the London City Airport runway, giving thousands of women the chance to run against the city skyline. The experience transformed part of the airport into a setting that brought together sport, music and urban culture.

The event is part of the 2026 After Dark Tour, an international race series designed to encourage more women to take part in running. This year, the circuit spans seven cities, including Mexico City, Shanghai and Sydney, with 10K and half-marathon events. Beyond the competition itself, Nike brings music, activities and post-race celebrations to each stop, embracing a vision of sport that places community at its heart.

Victoria’s Secret brings back the fantasy

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show returned to Los Angeles on October 18, bringing wings, lingerie and spectacle back to the centre of the runway. Anderson’s Dior era, captured by Guadagnino

What goes on behind one of fashion’s most closely watched creative shifts? Luca Guadagnino may offer a glimpse. The Italian filmmaker is reportedly working on a documentary following Jonathan Anderson’s first steps at Dior, capturing how the designer begins to shape a new chapter for the maison.

There’s a detail that makes this pairing all the more intriguing: before turning to fashion, Anderson moved to the United States to study acting. He eventually found his calling in design, but cinema is now crossing his path again, this time with Anderson in front of the camera.

The project has yet to be officially confirmed, but the idea feels all the more compelling given that Anderson and Guadagnino have already worked together on films such as Challengers and Queer, for which Anderson designed the costumes. This time, Guadagnino could be following the designer on his own turf, as he develops his vision…

Chanel takes Coco Neige 2026 to the slopes

Chanel is getting ready to bring Coco Neige 2026 to boutiques, with a winter collection that pairs ski wear with the house’s signature codes.

Photographed by Julien Martinez Leclerc and starring Elodie Guipaud, Feng Jiao Long, and Lia Marie Mielke, the campaign mixes classic checked tweed, graphic stripes, and vivid red accents with playful penguin and polar bear motifs, giving traditional alpine dressing a fresh twist.

Accessories carry the mountain theme further, with oversized nylon flap bags, shearling camera cases, mittens, and snow boots. Coco Neige 2026 arrives in boutiques on October 21, just as the winter season begins to take shape.

She wears a vibrant red and white plaid tweed skirt and white two-tone heels. She holds a small, shearling and suede small flap bag with a gold chain. Moncler brings Cher, Grace Jones and Jennie together for Re/Icons

Cher, Grace Jones, and BLACKPINK’s Jennie star in Re/Icons, Moncler’s new campaign photographed and directed by Gabriel Moses. The brand brings together three icons from different generations to revisit pieces from its archive, including designs that have shaped its history.

The selection includes the Himalaya and Karakorum jackets, both rooted in Moncler’s mountaineering heritage. The campaign also nods to the artists’ own careers: Cher’s look recalls her wardrobe in The Cher Show, while Grace Jones’s styling draws on the visual world of her collaborations with Jean-Paul Goude. These archival pieces take on a fresh context through references to the women who wear them.

A high-fashion photograph captured in a very dark, dramatic environment. The central figure is Jennie, who is brightly lit. She wears a glossy, black quilted Moncler puffer jacket with a large red and black patterned silk scarf tied around her neck. Her eyes are covered by large, futuristic, round dark sunglasses, and she looks directly forward. The figures of a crowd around her, including one person to her left, are almost entirely obscured by deep shadow and blur, creating an intensely focused composition. The overall atmosphere is mysterious and powerful.

Tesla’s new Roadster takes luxury beyond the road

The future of luxury motoring has taken an unexpected turn. Elon Musk unveiled the next-generation Tesla Roadster in Texas, where the electric sports car lifted off the ground, flipped mid-air, and landed on its wheels during a demonstration. High-pressure gas thrusters developed with SpaceX technology powered the manoeuvre, bringing aerospace engineering into a world shaped by speed, design, and desire.

More than a car, the Roadster reflects an idea increasingly present in luxury: innovation must also surprise, offering experiences that once belonged to science fiction. Its flight-capable version, however, is not yet approved for public roads, and Tesla plans to begin production in 2028. For now, the question is how far this technology can go beyond a spectacular reveal.

Tim Walker brings the queer world to Fairyland: Love and Legends

Tim Walker’s new exhibition at London’s National Portrait Gallery opened on October 9 and brings together 250 portraits spanning more than five decades of queer history in the UK. In the gallery’s rooms, Lady Gaga, Chappell Roan, and Frank Ocean share the space with activists, workers, and figures from London’s underground scene. There is no timeline to follow: the images connect different eras and experiences, telling a collective story that goes far beyond its best-known names.

True to Walker’s theatrical imagination, the photographs unfold like scenes suspended between reality and fantasy, created in collaboration with set designer Shona Heath. The exhibition moves from the irreverence of the Rebel Dykes collective to drag culture and references to classic fairy tales, bringing together beauty and the stories of resistance woven throughout the images. Here, fantasy doesn’t disguise reality; it allows us to see it from a different perspective. The exhibition remains open…

Repetto finds a way to wear ballet flats in winter

Balletcore isn’t ready to put its beloved flats away just because temperatures are dropping. For its Winter Ballet collection, French footwear house Repetto introduces Ballet Warm, a hybrid design that pairs its signature leather ballet flats with ribbed wool leg warmers extending to the knee, built directly into the shoe.

Victoria Beckham makes her homeware debut

Victoria Beckham is taking her design vision beyond the wardrobe with her first homeware collection, created in collaboration with European lifestyle platform Westwing and launching on October 12. Centered on the art of dressing the table, the collection brings together linens, tableware, glassware, and decorative accessories inspired by the British Arts and Crafts movement. Hammered cutlery, textured plates, subtly embossed glassware, and stainless-steel butter dishes shaped like seashells give everyday dining a distinctive touch. It’s a new chapter for Beckham, extending her aesthetic into the art of entertaining at home.

Robert Wun brings his couture vision to New York City Ballet

Robert Wun takes his dramatic visual language from the runway to the stage with Shared Rain, a piece presented at the New York City Ballet’s Fall Fashion Gala 2026. For the collaboration, the London-based designer created midnight-blue bodysuits embellished with Swarovski crystals, alongside geometric headpieces shaped like six-pointed umbrellas, developed with support from Senz.

The production marks the first commission for both Wun and choreographer Jennifer Archibald at NYCB. Her work explores how the human body responds to the force of a storm, with climate change as its backdrop. Drawing on the umbrellas that featured prominently in one of Wun’s haute couture collections, the choreography transforms them into an extension of the dancers’ physical language.

Set to immersive music and met with a standing ovation at Lincoln Center, Shared Rain brings fashion, dance, and environmental reflection together on a single stage. The piece is part of the Contemporary Choreography I…

Through local collaborations, including a culinary experience at Caffè Doria, Massimo Dutti extends its vision beyond clothing, inviting visitors to experience fashion through the art, architecture, and everyday life of Rome.

Anthony Vaccarello bids farewell to Saint Laurent after ten years

After a decade at the helm of Saint Laurent, Anthony Vaccarello is bringing his chapter at the French house to a close. Kering confirmed his departure following the Spring/Summer 2027 show in Paris, where a collection steeped in gold and framed by monumental chandeliers revisited the maison’s classical grandeur. It was a fitting farewell, one that looked back to the house’s heritage while bringing one of its defining chapters of the past decade to an end.

During his tenure, Vaccarello drove the brand’s growth and expanded its cultural reach with the launch of Saint Laurent Productions, the house’s venture into cinema. His departure comes as Kering, under CEO Luca de Meo, reshapes its portfolio amid a slowdown in the luxury market. As the group prepares to announce his successor, industry reports have pointed to Chemena Kamali, Chloé’s current creative director and a former member of the Saint Laurent team, as…

Apparatus turns design into a fable

Five years after his last complete collection, Gabriel Hendifar returns with ACT V: AFSANEH, a new furniture and lighting collection inspired by his Persian roots. The name, meaning “fable” in Persian, is also a tribute to his mother.

The collection transforms everyday pieces into objects with a fantastical quality. Among them is Rahvi, a cast-brass light inspired by a mythical serpent and adorned with rings of semiprecious stones, alongside the lacquered Esfand lamps and Gol fiberglass pendants.

Originally presented in New York as the starting point for its international rollout toward London, ACT V: AFSANEH reaffirms Apparatus’ ability to turn lighting into sculptural pieces capable of transforming a space.

La estructura de iluminación combina un cable blanco con una esfera brillante y una estructura tubular negra curvada con dos globos de luz adicionales. Diana’s “revenge dress” returns to auction

The legendary “revenge dress” worn by Princess Diana is heading back to auction nearly three decades after its last public appearance. The black silk dress, designed by Christina Stambolian, will travel through London, Hong Kong, and Geneva with Sotheby’s before arriving in New York on December 9, 2026, with an estimated value of $150,000 to $300,000.

The dress became part of pop culture history on June 29, 1994, when Diana wore it to a gala at the Serpentine Gallery on the same night then-Prince Charles publicly addressed his infidelity. Its Bardot neckline and departure from royal dress codes transformed the appearance into one of Diana’s most memorable fashion moments.

Originally auctioned by Diana herself in 1997 for charity, the dress now returns to the market as more than an archival fashion piece: a symbol of how clothing can become a statement of independence.

Samira & Regeane brings everyday Mexico to Paris

Mexican fashion found a new way to speak for itself in Paris. During Paris Fashion Week, Samira & Regeane presented MEXIMALISTA, its debut collection, turning childhood memories, everyday objects, and references from Mexican popular culture into a couture proposition.

The iconic Mexican market bag was reimagined as corsetry, while the traditional paliacate, market graphics, street signage, and toys like the balero took on new forms through lace, sheer fabrics, and vibrant blocks of color. The collection starts with instantly recognizable elements and brings them into a more refined visual language without losing their origins.

The presentation also brought together Mexican talent across disciplines, with footwear by Dante, jewelry by Lula, and styling by Paola Tanus and Monse Rebollar, founders of Stylinginc. With MEXIMALISTA, Samira & Regeane brought to Paris an idea of luxury that doesn’t need to distance itself from everyday life to feel extraordinary.

SS27 Footwear takes over the look

For Spring/Summer 2027, shoes are no longer a secondary detail. They’re taking center stage. Prada explored hybrids between sandals and curved heels, while Saint Laurent brought opulence to the feet with chains, gemstones, flowers, feathers, and gilded finishes. At Chanel, Matthieu Blazy refreshed the house’s signature two-tone pumps with leopard and tiger prints, playful card-inspired heels, mesh, and embroidered details. Rather than simply complementing the clothes, footwear is becoming a statement in its own right.

The season also took experimentation into utilitarian territory: The Attico pushed gladiator boots up to the thigh, while Miu Miu continued its dialogue between luxury and sport with the New Balance RC150. KNWLS and Lacoste, meanwhile, reworked familiar codes through rounded soles and tennis-ball-inspired heels. Between sculpture, sport, and excess, SS27 proves that the look can start from the feet.

Louis Vuitton brings the future to the Louvre

Louis Vuitton closed Paris Fashion Week by bringing the future to the heart of the Louvre. For its Spring/Summer 2027 women’s collection, Nicolas Ghesquière transformed the Cour Carrée into a sci-fi landscape, with flying cars covered in the house’s signature Damier pattern suspended above the runway.

While the set imagined a city of the future, the collection focused on something much closer: the body. Under the concept "Ergonomie," Ghesquière explored sheer fabrics, mesh, ultralight textures, and fluid silhouettes designed to move with the body. A balance of technology, functionality, and the spirit of travel that remains central to Louis Vuitton.

Kylie Jenner makes her television leading-role debut

Kylie Jenner will take on her first leading role in a scripted television series with Bachelorette Weekend, Hulu’s upcoming psychological thriller, in which she will play a bride whose bachelorette weekend ends in tragedy. Told through a nonlinear narrative, the series pieces together what happened that night as everyone in her inner circle becomes a suspect.

The project will also see her serve as an executive producer alongside Kim Kardashian. Kim was the one who first received the script and shared it with her sister, seeing it as the right project for this next chapter. Following her film debut in The Moment earlier this year, Jenner continues to expand a career that began in reality television and now spans beauty, business, and entertainment, reflecting how today’s pop culture figures increasingly move beyond a single industry.

The Outset, Scarlett Johansson’s brand, closes

The Outset, the skincare brand founded by Scarlett Johansson and Kate Foster Lengyel, will close its direct-to-consumer channel after more than four years on the market. The company confirmed the liquidation process in a brief statement on its website and said it will continue to process outstanding orders as usual.

Launched in 2022, the brand embraced a minimalist, accessible approach to beauty, moving away from the excess traditionally associated with Hollywood through fragrance-free formulas and a focus on essential skincare. Its closure comes as the market becomes increasingly competitive and consumers gravitate toward products with a more clinical identity and targeted results. For celebrity beauty, The Outset raises a broader question: what does a brand need to survive when a star’s name is no longer enough?

Le Labo turns fragrance into a concrete object

Le Labo brings its industrial aesthetic into the home with the new Concrete Home Diffuser, a limited-edition piece that transforms an everyday object into a design statement. Its body is made from molded concrete and finished by hand in the United States, with a porous surface that gives each piece its own variations in texture and tone. Over time, the material develops a patina, making each diffuser increasingly unique.

The diffuser uses nebulizing technology to turn SANTAL 26 oil into an ultra-fine mist without heat or dilution, while an Edison bulb adds an ambient element to the experience, adjusting its intensity in sync with the fragrance output. Following an initial launch in select markets, Le Labo will bring the Concrete Home Diffuser to stores worldwide starting December 1, 2026. Another example of how niche perfumery is moving further into the world of interior design.

Lacoste takes tennis into new territory

For Spring/Summer 2027, Lacoste brought its runway to the Philippe-Chatrier court at Roland-Garros, where Pelagia Kolotouros turned the dynamism and physical effort of tennis into a source of experimentation. The collection combined oversized silhouettes, sportswear, and a palette of earthy tones, greens, blues, and silver finishes, while different elements of the sport were reinterpreted far beyond their usual context.

The footwear took this idea a step further, with the collection introducing sporty heels featuring technical lacing and external structures inspired by a tennis net, bringing a code designed for the court into urban fashion. Meanwhile, the ACE-T1 sneaker added a playful touch with a miniature tennis ball embedded directly into the heel. The collection was completed by the pleated Lenglen bag, a design that pays tribute to the tennis skirts of Suzanne Lenglen. In this way, Lacoste looks back to its sporting heritage to transform it into something less literal…

Bee2Be brings conservation into Mexican design

Fundación Bee2Be has added jewelry to its Abeja: Joya de la naturaleza initiative, a project that uses Mexican design to support the conservation of the melipona bee. For its 2026 edition, students and emerging designers can develop proposals inspired by the species, which is deeply connected to Maya culture, with ideas that can later become jewelry pieces, collections, packaging, or collaborations with brands.

The initiative expanded this year from 10 to 25 Mexican universities and received more than 1,000 proposals. Across fashion, art, industrial design, and now jewelry, the melipona is beginning to appear from new perspectives: as inspiration, object, and creative language. A far more contemporary way of bringing an ancestral species into the imagination of Mexican design.

Galliano rewrites Zara

Zara and John Galliano unveil Re{form} Zara, Vol. 1 today, the first result of a two-year creative collaboration that proposes a completely different way of approaching a fashion collaboration. Rather than creating new garments from scratch, Galliano takes pieces from past Zara seasons and deconstructs, transforms, and reimagines them under an idea the designer describes as “re-authorship.”

Altered coats, bias-cut dresses, exaggerated draping, and layered textures bring Galliano’s theatricality to garments that already existed, turning Zara’s past stock into a new collection of one-of-a-kind pieces also intended for resale. The project brings the designer’s experimental vision together with Zara’s scale, exploring what happens when a garment stops being final and becomes creative raw material once again.

Burberry brings its trench to the V&A

Burberry celebrates 170 years of history with The Burberry Trench: Crafting an Icon, a free exhibition at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. The exhibition brings together previously unseen pieces from the maison’s archives with the museum’s textile collection, tracing the trench coat’s evolution from Thomas Burberry’s invention of waterproof gabardine to its transformation into a fashion icon.

The exhibition also features reinterpretations of the silhouette by designers including Christopher Bailey and Daniel Lee, showing how a garment created for functionality became one of the most recognizable codes of British fashion.

Open through January 3, 2027, the exhibition also sets the stage for a broader collaboration between Burberry and the V&A, including a permanent gallery sponsored by the brand, planned for 2028.

Dior finds beauty in imperfection

Dior has begun revealing the ideas behind its upcoming Summer 2027 show, set for September 29 in Paris. The maison draws from an ancient Chinese tradition: rotating wénwán walnuts between the hands until time and friction transform their surface. A practice rooted in patience now becomes a starting point for exploring beauty, evolution, and imperfection.

Built around the idea that “perfect symmetry is elusive,” Dior previews a collection where organic shapes, irregular cuts, and craftsmanship take center stage. Nature, after all, rarely creates the exact same form twice—and perhaps that is where its beauty lies.

Céline Dion turns Paris into her personal runway

Céline Dion is turning Paris into her own runway. During her stay in the city, the singer has been photographed outside the Le Royal Monceau in a succession of looks from Givenchy, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Alaïa, Tom Ford, and Loewe, bringing runway pieces into everyday life with an ease that blurs the line between street style and high fashion.

And while her daytime appearances are already a runway in their own right, her stage looks take the drama even further: from a navy Tom Ford gown covered in shimmering details to a sculptural black leather corset custom-made by Alaïa. With every appearance, Dion proves once again that her comeback belongs to fashion too—and that true style-icon status extends far beyond the runway.

MM6 turns the number six into a new anatomy

For Spring/Summer 2027, MM6 Maison Margiela brought its obsession with the number six directly to the body. In Milan, the maison unveiled a collaboration with Havaianas that turned the classic flip-flop into an exercise in distortion: the Slim 6Toe introduces an unexpected sixth toe, while the Top 6Layers stacks six rubber soles into a deliberately irregular structure.

The same logic carried through to the clothing. Classic shirts and knitwear stopped behaving like shirts and sweaters, transforming instead into skirts and hip-hugging dresses while retaining elements of their original construction. Rather than rebuilding the garments, MM6 simply persuaded them to work differently. Because when MM6 takes an everyday object, it apparently doesn’t need to reinvent it; just change the rules of how it is meant to be used.

Hermès builds its own skyline in Williamsburg

To celebrate its arrival in Williamsburg, Hermès hosted an immersive dinner at Powerhouse Arts, where a miniature recreation of the New York skyline stretched across the tables among hundreds of buildings illuminated in shades of purple. Created by the maison and produced by STUDIO BOUM, the installation made the city’s architecture part of the evening’s visual language, while chef Sansho’s menu echoed the colors of a New York sunset.

Designed by RDAI, the new store occupies a two-story building on Berry Street and draws on materials associated with the neighborhood’s industrial past, from exposed brick to gray terrazzo and metal details. More than simply opening another address, Hermès seems to have found its own way of building a version of New York in Williamsburg.

Cherubim turns engineering into jewelry

The independent label is bringing the logic of industrial design into accessories, creating metal pieces that look as though they came straight out of a robotics lab and landed in the wardrobe.

Behind Cherubim is a former Tesla design engineer who brought his experience in technical modeling and structural design into jewelry and accessories. The result is a collection of articulated, geometric pieces with an almost mechanical quality, including the Spine Belt Deluxe, inspired by the human spine and now one of the brand’s most recognizable designs.

Rather than simply decorating, Cherubim proposes another way of thinking about accessories: objects that function almost like miniature machines, turning engineering into part of their visual identity. Its growing presence online also reflects a new generation’s interest in bringing fashion, technology, and industrial design into the same language.

Spring/summer 2027 turns up the volume on fashion

From London to Milan, European runways are moving away from restraint and bringing color, experimentationand a much stronger sense of personality back into the conversation.

Across London Fashion Week, shades of orange, coral and ginger emerged as the big color trend for a much more expressive season, while Burberry reinforced this playful energy through its own vibrant, character-driven collection.

In Milan, experimentation took even more unexpected turns. Prada devoted its collection to exploring the possibilities of the knee-length skirt, while Milan’s runways brought robots into the mix, turning technology into part of the spectacle.

Now, all eyes are on Paris Fashion Week, where Dior, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton are set to continue shaping where fashion is headed next. After several seasons of restraint, Spring/Summer 2027 seems to have a new obsession: making getting dressed feel fun again.

The Italian designer may be nearing the end of his just-over-one-year tenure at the maison, shortly before presenting his next collection in Paris.

Piccioli’s arrival in July 2025 shifted the house’s creative language: color, craftsmanship and romanticism took center stage after Demna’s urban and provocative aesthetic. His haute couture debut in July pushed that vision further, with sculptural silhouettes, dramatic volumes and a renewed focus on savoir-faire.

The potential departure comes just ahead of Balenciaga’s scheduled show on October 1 in Paris, currently listed on the official calendar. If confirmed, the Spring/Summer 2027 collection could become the unexpected final chapter of a brief but visually distinctive era.

Pusha T and Pharrell turn Grindin’ into coffee

More than two decades after turning “Grindin’” into a hip-hop anthem, Pusha T and Pharrell Williams are taking their shared history into the world of coffee.

Jonathan Anderson dresses the power of Silicon Valley

The Dior designer brings Silicon Valley’s tech uniform to the big screen in Artificial, Luca Guadagnino’s new film about Sam Altman and OpenAI.

Mackie dressed some of entertainment’s greatest divas, including Cher, Diana Ross, Tina Turner and Carol Burnett. His creations could be exuberant, provocative and deeply theatrical, but they always had one thing in common: they made the person wearing them impossible to ignore.

And perhaps that is the most enduring part of his legacy. His designs do not belong to just one era. Decades later, his archives continue to appear on red carpets and stages, rediscovered by new generations who find in them the same irreverence and magic that once defined the spectacle.

The elegant chaos arrives in New York

The first days of New York Fashion Week hint at a Spring/Summer 2027 defined by volume, nostalgia and contrast.

New York fashion seems to have lost interest in perfection. From distressed denim and leather to oversized pieces and unexpected combinations of textures, the runways and street style are embracing looks that feel more spontaneous and personal.

Coach brings back a worn-in, ’90s-inspired aesthetic, while Ralph Lauren explores the contrast between denim and more sophisticated pieces. Meanwhile, oversized silhouettes are taking over the streets, with extra-wide trousers, oversized shirts and skirts in motion.

The new kind of elegance isn’t about looking perfect. It’s about having personality.
