Luxury Lands on the Moon
For the Artemis IV mission, currently estimated for 2028, astronauts would return to the lunar surface wearing a new generation of spacesuits developed by Prada in collaboration with Axiom Space, incorporating the Liquid Cooling and Ventilation Garment (LCVG) thermal regulation system.
The project sits at a clear intersection: Prada’s language of materials and design alongside Axiom Space’s technological architecture for space, where aesthetics and engineering are no longer treated as separate disciplines.
From there, the story signals a broader shift across the industry: design is no longer responding only to Earth but beginning to adapt to environments where function is not an aesthetic choice but survival.
In that shift, luxury stops being surface. It becomes infrastructure.
