Valentino revives the Rockstud under Alessandro Michele’s vision

The iconic Valentino Garavani Rockstud—originally introduced in the fall/winter 2010 collection—returns for pre-fall 2026 reimagined by Alessandro Michele. While the new version preserves the shoe’s signature cage silhouette and pyramid studs, it now incorporates metallic toe details and a far more elegant, dramatic, and cinematic sensibility aligned with the maison’s evolving visual direction.

Shot in Rome by Johnny Dufort and directed by Shayne Laverdière, the campaign reinforces the theatrical and nostalgic atmosphere Michele has begun building at Valentino. Available in 100mm and 40mm versions alongside sandals and flats, the Rockstud’s return also reflects how luxury houses continue to reactivate recognizable archival pieces for a new era driven by nostalgia, visual identity, and brand legacy.
