A.P.C. has named Ludivine Poiblanc as its new artistic director, opening a key chapter for the French brand founded by Jean Touitou in 1987. Poiblanc arrives as a stylist and creative director, with experience in image-making and visual world-building for publications such as WSJ Magazine and brands including Zara, Lanvin, and Calvin Klein. Her role will be to define A.P.C.’s “image and visual universe,” not just the clothes.

Following the sale of a majority stake to L Catterton in 2023, the brand is moving through a phase of reorganization and selective growth, with a focus on denim, accessories, and ready-to-wear. For a house whose strength has long lived in the French uniform — straight-leg jeans, intelligent basics, radical simplicity — the challenge will be to give it new cultural tension without breaking its discretion.

Her debut collection will be presented on May 20 at A.P.C.’s showroom in Milan and on June 15 at the brand’s Rue Madame headquarters in Paris.

Su colección debut se presentará el 20 de mayo en el showroom de A.P.C. en Milán y el 15 de junio en la sede de Rue Madame, en París.
