The Russian rooftopping couple walked for Elena Velez during the presentation of SMITE Spring/Summer 2027, just months after illegally climbing the Empire State’s antenna, where they were detained after unfurling a banner and getting engaged at the top of the building.
Their trajectory says something about contemporary culture: in the age of virality, digital identity can become casting, too. What once belonged to an extreme subculture can eventually be reinterpreted by fashion as an image of risk, authenticity, and the avant-garde.
