The landscape as a runway
There are shows that search for locations. And there are locations that seem to have been waiting for their show.
For its Spring-Summer 2027 collection, the world of Jacquemus moves to a rocky island off the coast of Corsica, where a white lighthouse marks the only human gesture within the landscape.
The show, scheduled for June 29, does not build a set—it finds one. Stone, sea, and silence shape the scene without requiring intervention.
Rather than constructing a set, the proposal leans into letting the landscape take the lead, and perhaps that is the most Jacquemus gesture of all: making sure the place doesn’t transform but its essence becomes part of the language.
