London puts tailoring back in the spotlight
McQueen, Mulberry and Burberry headline London Fashion Week SS27, as some of Britain’s most iconic houses enter new creative chapters.
The Spring/Summer 2027 edition opened Thursday with Paul Costelloe and Harris Reed, but attention is already turning to the days ahead. On Sunday, McQueen will return to London under creative director Seán McGirr, while Christopher Kane will make his debut at the helm of Mulberry.
The week will close on Monday with Burberry and Daniel Lee. Between comebacks, new creative leadership and historic names, London is once again looking to its own fashion heritage as a starting point for what comes next.
