Vitamin patches: K-Beauty’s new wellness accessory
In Korea, self-care is taking on a new form: colorful, playful transdermal patches with a distinctly K-Beauty aesthetic that turn supplementation into a visual statement.
More than a medical revolution, the phenomenon reflects a new way of consuming wellness: products designed to be seen, photographed, and incorporated into everyday beauty routines.
But just because a patch claims to contain vitamins does not mean those nutrients reach the body in the same way as an oral supplement. The skin acts as a natural barrier, and whether certain ingredients can cross it and reach an effective dose remains scientifically debated.
For now, the appeal of these products lies as much in their design and wellness narrative. The real revolution may not be about replacing pills but about something much more contemporary: giving wellness its own visual language.
