Samira & Regeane brings everyday Mexico to Paris
Mexican fashion found a new way to speak for itself in Paris. During Paris Fashion Week, Samira & Regeane presented MEXIMALISTA, its debut collection, turning childhood memories, everyday objects, and references from Mexican popular culture into a couture proposition.
The iconic Mexican market bag was reimagined as corsetry, while the traditional paliacate, market graphics, street signage, and toys like the balero took on new forms through lace, sheer fabrics, and vibrant blocks of color. The collection starts with instantly recognizable elements and brings them into a more refined visual language without losing their origins.
The presentation also brought together Mexican talent across disciplines, with footwear by Dante, jewelry by Lula, and styling by Paola Tanus and Monse Rebollar, founders of Stylinginc. With MEXIMALISTA, Samira & Regeane brought to Paris an idea of luxury that doesn’t need to distance itself from everyday life to feel extraordinary.
